One never knows about the winter time ocean weather but we try to keep you up to date when we see some good weather coming our way. This next week Thursday thru Sunday the extended forecast looks really nice as we look at it now so a great time to get down to Dockside Depoe Bay and get on one of our great fishing boats and catch some rockfish and Lingcod. As the picture shows the 2026 limit for Lingcod is three so this time of year is also a terrific time to catch the bigger Lingcod. Fishing Report: 01/01/2026

Beautiful winter time ocean on this 1st day of the year 2026 so Happy New Year to everyone. The fishing was excellent. The Surfrider boat caught 56-Lingcod, a limit of rockfish and 11 crabs per person for those participating. Remember with the new 2026 bottom fishing regulations you have a 4-fish bag limit but two can be Canary rockfish which is different from the past few years. Added on to that limit you can now catch 3-Lingcod per person and this time of year the Lingcod fishing is the best time to go after them. Call the Dockside office for reservations and some weather updates coming up.
